I always wanted to be a photographer. LIFE HAD OTHER PLANS. And honestly? I'M GLAD IT DID.
Our story
I've been running my VA business for almost seven years, and I started offering Dubsado setups just under six years ago. Before this I worked in HR, which, as it turns out, gave me a solid grounding in processes, people, and making things work properly behind the scenes.
I always wanted to be a photographer. I studied Media Arts at university, I loved the creative world, and somewhere along the way life took me in a different direction. Working with photographers and creatives was the next best thing - and honestly, I think it's a better fit. I get to stay close to that world, I genuinely understand it, and I bring something different to it than most.
What actually drives me
What I love most about this work is the transformation. Seeing a business go from chaotic and overwhelming to one that actually runs properly- that never gets old. The moment a client realises their Dubsado is actually running the way it should, or that their inbox isn't the first thing they dread in the morning anymore, that's the bit I'm here for.
I'm also incredibly lucky to work alongside people who genuinely care about what they do. Photographers, designers, coaches, florists - creative and service-based businesses built with real passion. That energy is contagious. I feel inspired by the people I work with every single day.
Home is Bath, and it's a busy one. My husband, our two kids, and three rescue dogs make sure there is never a dull moment. Honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way.
I'm an extroverted introvert, which probably sounds like a contradiction but makes complete sense to anyone who knows me. I love people. I love a good conversation, a dinner with friends, being around energy and laughter. Then I need to go home, close the door, and completely recharge. When my social battery is done, it is absolutely done.
Building my own business was never just about the work. It was about being present for the moments that matter. School pick-ups, lazy weekends, being genuinely available for my family rather than always half-distracted by someone else's schedule. The flexibility to live life on my own terms is something I never take for granted, and it's a big part of why I care so much about helping other business owners get their systems working properly too. When your business runs well, your life does too.
